The University of Rhode Island's Providence Evening MBA Program prepares you for careers as effective leaders and managers. The program is designed to emphasize conceptual, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills. Material for this non-thesis program is presented through lectures, discussions, case studies, and both individual and group projects. The MBA program does not require previous instruction in business administration.

The program consists of 15 courses - each 3 credits for a total of 45 credits. Depending upon your undergraduate coursework, date taken and grade received, you may waive courses for a minimum of 36 credits.

You may also take your electives outside the College of Business Administration and count them towards your MBA program. For instance, you may take electives from other URI graduate programs including communications, engineering, human development and family services, labor relations, etc. You may also choose to participate in an international opportunity during the summer, unique to the URI program, called the Global MBA Program. This allows you to obtain the needed six credits while spending two weeks each in France, China and Korea learning about global supply chain management.
