Module 4 – Some Common SEN Conditions Found in Schools Discuss some of the common SEN conditions found in mainstream and special schools Discuss the four broad areas of need and explain which conditions generally fall under these areas Outline the common SEN conditions and consider the main traits/symptoms whilst bearing in mind that each difficulty covers a wide range from low to high severity Outline traits common to all of the common SEN Outline how diagnosis is made and the difficulties of attaining a diagnosis

Module 5 – Behaviour Outline behavioural issues and ways to deal with challenging behaviour and how to promote positive behaviour Discuss how relationships work and ways forward to build rapport Discuss the importance of preparing a child for transition

Module 6 – Inclusive Education Discuss inclusive education and show awareness of how this works in different settings Discuss some of the legalities involved Discuss some of the rights of those with special educational needs and disabilities Discuss the differences between segregation, integration and inclusion Discuss some of the main historical aspects that have shaped inclusive education
