An elective in the Certificate Program in Paralegal Studies

Get an overview of negligence, personal injury, strict and products liability. Examine the intentional torts of battery, assault and false imprisonment. Analyze the distinctions between criminal and civil law. Learn to analyze liability, duty, breach of duty, causation and damages, while applying the appropriate legal defenses. Note: Online section must be completed within two months of receiving login information.
