Description

Even in our recessionary times, the film industry continues to be an American success story – it is our number one worldwide export, and on average people in the film industry have the highest annual salaries.

The most important question you have to ask is how do I get into the film industry, how do I gain access into this highly selective and rewarding industry?

If I go to med school I become a doctor, law school I become a lawyer, business school I become a business man or business woman. But you can go to all the film schools, academies, workshops for years and years, and end up exactly in the same place you started.

Film Festivals, Screenwriting Workshops, & Film Schools are essentially a waste of time. The old model in the film industry and consequently seminars about it are dead. They have been saying the same things in theses seminar for the past ten years, while the industry itself has gone through a radical transformation in these past ten years, probably more radical than any time in the existence of the film industry itself.

But the good news is that there is a new paradigm, a new model that makes success more accessible than ever before. We are now entering the new golden age of independent film. Changes in technology have lead to greater access for product, promotion, marketing, and distribution.

Furthermore, there are specific types of films you should make that can hugely increase your odds of success. But as importantly, when you create your script/idea, you simultaneously need to create an analysis/strategy as how to get that you product out.

It is not about writing well, but writing well for a specific end goal and marketplace. Everyone has an idea, getting it executed and seen is the ISSUE!

This seminar will focus on four steps – 1- creating the idea, 2- making your product, 3- getting it seen, 4- start working on your next product. This seminar is a blend of creative, practical, and industry professional advice.
