The MBA program requires 49 semester credit hours and consists of 17 courses, 9 of which are devoted to core functional areas, and 8 for concentration areas and electives

The three major components to the MBA curriculum:

    • foundation core of 9 courses
    • At least one area of concentration.
    • Elective courses outside your area of concentration.

Electives must be selected from Saunders College graduate courses or from approved RIT courses outside of Saunders College.

The program can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis and all of our core MBA courses are available online.

Admissions

Admission to RIT's top graduate business programs is granted to qualified applicants who show high potential for success. RIT's vision is to educate business school students to achieve personal and professional success over their lifetimes. In evaluating an application, the graduate admissions committee pays careful attention to each individual's undergraduate academic record, GMAT score, TOEFL score (International students only), resume and personal statement. Graduate Programs and MBA Scholarships

Scholarships and assistantships are awarded based on merit for the Saunders College of Business graduate programs.  Awards are determined at the time of acceptance.

scholarship is a financial award given to a student and is posted directly towards their tuition bill.  Most Saunders College of Business scholarships are for a maximum of 6 full time quarters. 

Graduate Student Worker Positions

The Saunders College also has student worker positions available that allow the student an opportunity to work with a faculty or professional staff member. Students may apply for available positions at the start of the academic quarter.

During the quarter, the student would work with them on projects, research, benchmarking, and various other tasks. Students receive a paycheck for the hours worked as a graduate student worker.

Graduate Merit Awards

Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.70. Applicants must have earned a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 64 credit hours from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

  • Awardees must be enrolled in a Saunders College of Business graduate program during the 2013-2014 academic year.
  • PREP students are not eligible for Saunders College Merit scholarship awards.
  • Executive MBA students are not eligible for Saunders College Merit scholarship awards.
  • Bridge students are not eligible for Saunders College Merit scholarship award.
  • Apply for a Saunders College of Business Merit Award
